Board of Directors also includes quite a few Tanner-Mahan Foundation seminar facilitators. Consequently, the Board members are directly involved with the growth of the foundation, as well as the development, direction and presentation of the seminar offerings. All of the faculty members have run highly successful practices in their own right. Some members have currently retired from private practice and offer consulting services, while others continue to oversee the operations of their practices.



Fred Cory, D.D.S.

Fred Cory operated his private practice in Quincy, Illinois for 34 years, specializing in on holism, occlusion and the building of interpersonal relationships, prior to retiring to northwestern Montana where he continues his consulting services. His educational and teaching background includes Westminster College, Marquette University, and the US Army Corps. Dr. Cory also served as the Director of Collateral Programs at LD Pankey Institute from 1974 to 1981.

Dr. Cory, a licensed pilot, continues to travel nationally and internationally to provide consulting services as well as conducting teaching seminars for the betterment of dental patient care.

Henry Gremillion, D.D.S.

Henry Gremillion is Dean of LSU Dental School. Previously, he was associate professor in the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and held an affiliate appointment in the Department of Prosthodontics at the University of Florida College of Dentistry (UFCD), an associate faculty member of the L.D. Pankey Institute for Advanced Dental Education, is the director of the Parker L. Mahan Facial Pain Center . He also served on the active dental staff of Shands Teaching Hospital. In addition, Dr. Gremillion provides consulting services to the U.S. Army, Navy, and Air Force, the Veteran's Administration Hospital in Gainesville, FL., the ADA Council on Dental Practice, and the Comprehensive Dentistry Program at UFCD. Dr. Gremillion has given lectures in the U.S. and abroad and has co-authored over 50 scientific publications. .

Michael Kadair, D.D.S.

Michael Kadair spent three years in the Navy Dental Corps after graduating from the Loyola Dental School in New Orleans, Louisiana. He began his private practice in Morgan City, Louisiana. Dr. Kadair studies in dentistry has included the L. D. Pankey Institute, studying with Dr. Parker Mahan. He has also conducted teaching seminars with Dr. Henry Tanner. Dr. Kadair moved his growing practice to Baton Rouge in the early 1990s and began specializing in facial pain, occlusion, and perio restorative.

Dr. Kadair has taught nationally and abroad and has organized study clubs in England, Sweden & Louisiana.


Bill Massey

Bill Massey has owned and operated Massey Dental Studio in Ft. Collins, Colorado since 1968. He received his initial dental technician training in the US Navy and obtained his baccalaureate from Colorado State University after completion of his service in the Navy. Mr. Massey has dedicated his career to pursuing a better understanding of occlusion and communication. He produced an educational tape series on the Tanner Appliance (which is offered through the foundation) and is one of the founders of the Tanner Mahan Study Series. Mr. Massey also established the Tanner-Mahan Scholarship Fund. In addition, a number of the Tanner-Mahan seminars are conducted at Dr. Massey's studio in Ft. Collins, Colorado.

Mr. Massey has been a guest presenter at the L.D. Pankey Institute with the Removable Denture and Dental Technician programs.

Ronald Presswood, D.D.S.

Ronald Presswood interned in the US Navy after graduating from University of Texas Dental Branch at Houston. He began his private practice in Houston immediately after the completion of his US Navy internship. Dr. Presswood joined the faculty of the University of Texas Dental Branch in Houston in 1988 as an adjunct professor in clinical dentistry and was a member of the board of directors and associate faculty of L.D. Pankey Institute from 1979 to 1992. He has authored numerous articles for professional journals and three text books, one collaborating with Dr. Tanner. Biomechanical and neuro-physiological research relating to the dynamic function of occlusion is ongoing at Loughborough University in England.
